Free the Belgrade 6!

September 29, 2009

embassyMembers of Brighton SolFed joined others at the Serbian Embassy in Belgravia, London yesterday to protest the continued detention of six members of our Serbian sister-section Anarcho-Syndicalist Initiative (ASI). The six have been in detention since September 3rd when  police arrested them for ‘international terrorism’ after a molotov cocktail attack on the Greek embassy – which was claimed by another group. The ‘Belgrade 6’ deny any knowledge of the attack and stress it is not consistent with anarcho-syndicalist methods of collective working class action.  ASI have been prominent in Serbia for supporting workers in struggle, and before the arrests members had warned police were planning repression.
