2009 has seen the election of 2 BNP MEPs, and English Defence League marches returning racial politics to the streets of Britain. Meanwhile, the government continues to detain immigrants without trial and attacks on working class organisation run rampant, while “multicultural” policies legally and physically cement segregation. How can we respond to the growth of the far right? What lies behind this growth? What is the alternative?
Brighton Class Struggle forum is made up of activists, trade unionists and students from a broad background, based around the need to debate the common issues and tactics which face all of those who wish to fight for a better world. It is a forum where those from different traditions and organisations are able to come together, and find new ways of productively working together to further our aims.
